Obama done ticked me off son

So...I guess I'm officially pissed at the White House. Change is coming...my ass. Same old pass over, push off, priority listing bullcrap.

A gay president in 2068!

If you're going to prioritize...how are civil rights not #1?

well given that he is against gay marriage, don't know that he is at all concerned personally or politically with civil rights...

thought it interesting that the number one issue know in congress is quickly becoming financial regulation...resources are being taken away from the health care camps...there might exist a fear that many things are on the table, but unless they pass something, the republicans will pick up steam and fundraising for next falls election...

I knew this president would be too political, and too controversal, for many of his "ideas" to actually workout...going after getmo first was his first mistake, not taking care of foriegn policy and the two wars was the second, and third, putting all his eggs in one basket, the healthcare debate, hurt most...

don't think he actually had a chance, but there is still time for him to shine.

Nobody actually cares about America's last opressed minority it seems. Especially since allowing gay marriage could potentially create a nice boom for local economies. What with new couples buying their first house together, spending ungodly amounts on the wedding (drawing mine up now, btw, and I've already reached $12,500 in plans), etc. Removing Don't Ask, Don't Tell would keep us from losing troops for a stupid reason and would save the DoD in the money used to train those troops before their discharges.

I don't know. I'm obviously biased.

all you can do is push for change. I don't think it would lead to a boom for local communities, especially since it would be specific communities which would likely gain from the change...moreover, there is nothing holding back a gay man or woman from buying a house on their own, or by having a joint venture or joint application on a loan...

How about this...a gay couple could form a legal partnership business, buy a house, and live in it...paying their company rent...

the wedding part I'm not so sure how to get around, other than move to a state where it is legal...

bottom line...Obama is what he is...a skillful politician...but when you make promises to every group you can think of in order to get votes, there is bound to be some groups burned badly...thank god amnesty international got there wish granted...too bad its not actually working out...
