Need to blend the concealer and bronzer a bit more. And I think I may try purple on the eyes. I like how the hair's turned out and the lips are a nice bold.
I know you want nice opinions, but really, you are not nearly as pretty as our sisters...just saying...don't think you'll ever have 'em beat...please don't be mad at me...
No real reasoning. It's a style of theatre I've been eyeing for a while, but have only recently gotten the guts to attempt. Kind of along the lines of: "I've accomplished one of the highest goals a man can by joining the military. What can I do by being a (nonbiological) woman?"
We'll see.
And I can draw in new eyebrows and wear contacts. Sky's the limit.
and not to be mean again, but you are not the most handsome...Mom will always think Eric is the most handsome...we'll never be able to win that contest in Mom's eyes...
ok...going to attempt to be nice about this even though Andi and I did just rip you a new a**hole over the issue. & it now is evidence on the internet so if you think about it, anyone can Google your name and one of the many many links is going to be that picture. Just saying... It really doesn't look natural and I agree with Nate that Eric is and always will be the favorite. He's the most handsome and intelligent and yada yada yada, mom already told us this. Nate is also right, theater is one thing, this is different. way way different. Nate did theater in high school (or just a play..idk) but the only thing he wore was eyeliner if that underneath the fake mud or whatever it was... Do stay with the dark wig....all you boys got the dark gfell hair color. Andi and I have a lighter shade. that's why we were able to pull off the blonde hair and have it look good. Ok so that was really hard not to be mean and yell at you and I can see where you might think I am being mean but its from the heart, not entirely, but Its better than lying to you, right?
dark hair = good... but the wig is AWFUL... invest in a more natural looking one when the time comes. i don't like the lip color. eyes look good. and, i'm kinda not comfy with the idea of this yet. :)
I'm thinking about covering m face in alabaster before applying the foundation.
And I think everybody's going to get used to this. I appreciate the civility so far.
Going to send you all copies of Rupaul's Drag Race soon. Show how normal of an activity this is...and how fun it can be. I can't wait to do it on a stage.
To be fair, this picture doesn't do justice for one. Our friend Nikki was over and helping him out, and they tried two separate color groups on the eyes to give options and some training. (Hence why the hair is sorta' covering the other eye.) It looked a LOT better in person, was really convincing, and was actually really pretty.
Also, never underestimate the power of makeup- especially for drag. Given the right color contacts, shaving and painting on eyebrows, etc, we can pull off blonde. I'm not very fond of the color though, and for his natural look, I agree dark hair would look best.
Lastly, for Andi, I agree. The wig is horrid. That's because it's all fake, or so Bry says. A real wig, with hair that can be washed, styled, and all that without destroying it would cost $500+. So since it's just practice, it makes sense to go crappy and when it's ready, let him go all out with it.
To set ya'll at ease: Until the Marine Corps phase is complete, he knows not to make take this further. There's nothing illegal in playing with makeup. While there are links on this site, they're not incriminating unless you put his social and full name on it. In other words, as long as you don't say, "Hey, that's $^#&$&*$% $&#&$&$ @&^*$*(%&&#&^$, social security number $&$^^@#," it's not evidence. Technically, this isn't illegal either. He should totally watch out- I agree this was somewhat dangerous, and I don't necessarily agree with it being posted. The only way this could be turned into a problem is if, 1) It is officially tied to the Marine Corps (as in, the individual states or represents it in some way where it appears as though it's forcing support for the Marine Corps), and 2) if Article 134 (the catch all, 'if you do anything that brings discredit to the military') is called. There'd have to be some arguing that this does that, especially if he isn't out on town.
Oh, and if you're looking for a way to support him:
Try to put aside the uncanny valley effect... There is nothing wrong with drag; it's one of the purest forms of theatre- a woman who can play a man and visa versa takes a lot of talent- and granted, sometimes it's just fun... A legitimate issue I find though is when it's not done well, it just looks disturbing. He's better than that already. (Again, you didn't see the first picture. =P)
Also, don't invite anyone military and neurotic to the page. It's really that simple in terms of protecting his privacy.
I wanted to say... I really do appreciate how supportive and loving you all are as a family. Whether it's berrating Bry for being too outlandish or supporting him even when it makes you uncomfortable. I've been privy to the inner workings of a lot of families, and very few are as tight knit and sincere as yours.

Nice opinions only please. :)

lol. Not trying to be prettier. I know that's impossible. Plus, I shouldn't be too greedy. I am already the handsomest brother. Most handsome?
Samantha (that's the stage name) will probably take a more glam turn anyway. Darker, bolder and more colorful eyes. Going to try blonde hair next.
Really exciting what may come of this. Almost can't wait the three years to debut.
haha, looks good,
you should go with a dark brown hair color, more natural, don't go blonde, not with your eyebrows and dark eyes.
grasping for some sort of reasoning behind this new hobbie...
I would feel more comfortable if we talked more, we can both call each other more often, would you not agree?

I don't think his lips will work...it will always look like he has a shadow and thus mustache...

Looks spanish. May change the name.
