Gratitude this Holiday and Always

"Today, be grateful. Be grateful for your favorite music, for movies that make you feel good, for the phone that connects with people, for your computer, and for the electricity that lights up your life. Be grateful for the roads and traffic lights that keep the traffic in order. Be grateful for those that built our bridges. Be grateful for our loved ones, for our children, pets, for our eyes that enable us to read this. Be grateful for your imagination. Be grateful that you can speak. Be grateful that you can laugh and smile. Be grateful that you can breathe. Be grateful that you are alive! Be grateful that you are YOU.

Be grateful that there are two words that can change your life, and say them over and over again:

Thank You!

--From The Secret

I am very grateful for the blessings that my family received this holiday season. I am also thankful for Suzanna's Mom inviting Dad to Christmas dinner at the Tyrrell house.

With Love,
E

Wondering

Jess is off to Italy. Christmas is practically a day away and 2010 is upon us. Dad's House is coming along, just need to keep Dad focused on finishing projects.

He's doing what he needs to but you can understand that we are changing Dad's life as he knows it, and it is going to take alot strength and the help of family.

The perfect life is created through Intention.

SNOW DAY!!!

this is totally amazing....the amount of snow on the ground already and the fact that it has yet to stop and it''s 2:44 p.m. in the afternoon.
the mall is closed, church is closed tomorrow.... I have a ton of baking to finish and a little low on salt, sugar and brown sugar. couldn't get into my car if I wanted to anyway...not kidding about that. only a small strip of my car is visible from the driveway at the moment. :)

Unless we have a freak warm up, Christmas should be a white one.

miss all you guys! miss sledding with you too when you were little!

love, me

Howdy. Huggles.

Hey guys!

Got my x-mas shopping completely done and wrapped. Jordan's presents are hanging out under the tree, begging to be ripped open...by me mostly. I want him to open them now! I'm so excited that I may have hit the bullseye on his gifts.

Wish I was at home though so I could do the same for all of you. Your gifts will be on their way shortly though. Work has killed me all this week and looks like it'll be taking up my weekend as well, but I will get those out to you!

Especially the kids' presents. I'm hoping I can get those to Andi by Xmas eve.

So, I'm making Lemon Chicken tonight and think I may have screwed it up. Can anybody post the recipe on here so I can finally have a solid copy?

Miracles Do Indeed Happen, with Help from Angels

Too very exciting things just happened.

1) I turned the page in my 365 day "The Secret" calendar to find the following message:

  • "If you have a problem with a member of your family who is negative, begin by writing a list of all the things you appreciate about that person. Remember to include gratitude to them for giving you a great desire for positivity in your life; because that is a gift they are giving you! As you focus with all of your strength on appreciation, you will not only reduce your exposure to the negativity, but at the same time you will be attracting positive people into your life. Get yourself on to the appreciation frequency, and the law of attraction can surround you only with people who are in a positive state."  [Wow! What just happened?]
 2) I finished baking a new batch of Christmas cookies. The first batch came out bad because Jess forgot a whole cup of sugar. :-P I can't seem to figure out if I should do Anise or Vanilla frosting, so I tried mixing the two, it smells like root beer :) Oh, and I just found this picture:

3) This is the kicker, I just logged in to check my grade submissions, and behold! I recieved an 'A' in Business Statistics! Hooray!

Love You Guys

Good News!

D.C. has legalized homosexual unions! HOORAY!

Sorry for the Negativity

Sorry for the negative news you guys. I don't mean to bring negative subjects into the light so much. I just really enjoy sharing with you about my hidden lives and allowing you to bring light into very painful thoughts.

And shoving Islam in your face. That's always fun.

Anyway, I'll be finished ba...finishing your x-mas gifts this week and I'll get them sent out this weekend. Unfortunalitaet, I won't get them to you by x-mas. But I'm assured by my other half that you will love them anyway.

So. Love. And stuff.

Sadists make me angry

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/12/08/cheney-trying-suspects-nyc-huge-mistake/Moster/

Mr. Bloated...I mean, Cheney.

1. How much room do you think the court will actually give the "terrorist mastermind" to defend himself? Saying that he has a leg to stand on is giving him a leg to stand on. He has none. He is a brainwashed, maybe, psychopath who will burn in hell for the crimes he's help commit and the lives he has wasted. He has no defense. And by the U.S. giving him a trial, we are showing how compassionate a nation we are. If we were any other third-world backward nation, we'd have just shot him in the head by now without giving him his civil right to a last word. That's not what we are.

2. Do you consider every trial for every murderer, rapist, thief, etc., to be a platform for those degenerates to spew their messages? What makes this trial any different from that of, say, the Manson family?

3. Our wars create terrorists. Our beliefs create terrorists. Our ways of life create terrorists. Our language creates terrorists. Our hamburgers create terrorists. C'est la f'ing vie.

4. Our leader bowing to a leader of another nation where it is customary is an awesome diplomatic move. Our apologizing may seem to a megalomaniac like you to be subserving our imperialism, but it's also trying to show our compassion and our belief in working with people; not just yelling at them, condemning them and killing them.

5. Thank you for labeling "most" of America as arrogant. What the hell is your definition of exceptionalism? Being a bully? Being a jock? Being a bloodlusting warrior? Or being a leader?

6. Our withdrawal announcement is not telling the terrorists that they are winning. It's saying that we as a nation of sick of fighting an winless war for some other nation. It's telling the Afghanis to get off there asses and start helping themseleves, because losing our men and women is just not worth protecting them anymore. It's also showing that we've strayed from our original goals and we need to recoup and try again. Protecting the Afghanis was not our mission. Finding Bin Laden and striking out against Al-Qaeda was our goal. Chasing the Taliban (which in Arabic means students), who are more or less brainwashed and corrupted children, is not our mission. We are wasting time and lives in Afghanistan and we need to get out of this situation.

7. On that note: We are not Russia. We are not going to send in every last man we have. We are much smarter than that.

8. "If you kill enough Americans, you change foreign policy." No...shit. That is actually how it works. You kill enough of us, we're going to find a way to keep you from killing us.

9. Why did the writer of this article repeat the above quote twice? Propaganda?

10. Who's weak and indecisive? I certainly hope you're talking about yourself and your admin. Tell me, Mr. Cheney, please, spell it out: What is the point of Afghanistan? And if the solution is so simple, why the fuck didn't you deal with it while you were still in office? Why do you keep screaming and bitching about a war you could have fixed.

...the more I hear this sadistic, megalomaniac complain about our situations in Afghanistan, the more I wish he and Bush would be tried for war crimes. I am convinced that we are as far behind in this war because of them. I am convinced, and have been, that Iraq was a useless war and was a major deterrent in the War on Terror. I am so sick of hearing war-mongerers bitch about pacifists trying to find a way out of war.

I could go on, but my heartrate just began to race and I am sweating.

I really should get a commission, a political science degree, and actually start shouting back at people like Cheney.

And I'm losing my train of thought. He is a sadist. A bloodthistry, gunfiring sadist. Roar.

House Update

Heat is on! Walls will be primed on Sat... Floors may take a week.

But with the warm house and the windows sealed up, Dad should be preparing to move in by the New Year or mid-January.

That is if we can get him packed up and moved out, something that would probably entail someone kidnapping him for the day while I have we have our crew move him in!

It may very well have to happen that way.

Progress on Dad's House!

Making headway on the new house for Dad. New domestic waterlines, prep work underway for fresh paint on the walls and new flooring!

Will have to have a survey company help us with the property, neighbors are parking on our land!

As well, winter is appproaching and we still have to get the heat on, Gas company coming tommorrow.

Just waiting on the bank to clear on Nathan's place and there goes the neighborhood!

Honestly, though, the neighbors to Dad's immediate east are motivated sellers, might have an opportunity on a third house on the same street.

Jordan

Hey, does everybody like Jordan? Things between us are getting more serious every day, and I just want to make sure everyone's ok with him before he and I take any big steps.

Not that anything big will happen anytime too soon. Bigger steps are coming though. Power of attorney, joint bank accounts, co-signing on a vehicle, etc.

Eventually marriage...

I don't know. We casually gazed at wedding bands today. Unsettling, yet warm, feelings crawled up my back. I love him enough to make him a permanent part of my life and be a permanent part of his. I'd do anything for him. I'd kill for him. I'd die for him, really.

Anyway...yeah, how does everyone feel about Jordan?

Christmas

So the holidays are just around the corner, and I know I'm going to regret saying this because I know that he and I are just a like, but I need christmas lists from everyone.
1. because dad wants it,
2. because I have to get everyones stuff sooner and mail it out (even tho you guys can't open anything until xmas..haha)
3. because I haven't really been around all ya'all so I have no idea what you guys want.

Andi, I need the babies wish list too
Nate, I need an idea for blair, although I kind of have one, I just need some recommendations
Eric, same to you for Suzanna, (suzanna-any ideas for eric is appreciated)
Bryan, I really don't know what you are up to so just tell me what you really really want instead of "you don't have to get me anything" excuse.
Mom, What would you like?

Any ideas for A. Carol, U. Dale, and Andrew? I figured books and gift cards, but I'm not too sure. Anything to help is appreciated.

I think you all know that I stink at presents, and if you don't, well I really do stink at gift giving. I usually get the stupidest thing or soemthing that is not practical at all....

I already know what I'm getting dad, but like I said, the sooner I have everyones list, the sooner I can get to the stores and whatnots..

loves! xoxo

Watch out for Personal Guard 2009!

Thought I should warn everyone againts Personal Guard 2009!

You may come in contact with the program on the internet.

It may tell you to download it immediately to protect from a virus or trojan.

Turn off the internet connection immediately and turn off your computer!

If you have a firewall, make sure it is on before going on the internet.

Dad's computer is infected and the only way I can see to fix it is to reinstall the operating system because his registry is f**cked.

It is an ugly ugly computer scam that will make you pay $49.95 to get rid of the problem it starts.

Dad shouldn't be allowed to use a computer or the internet without supervision.

Lost Maine - post from the Little Guy

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/33609492/ns/politics-more_politics/

I like that one woman's quote of how does this affect other people? I have to ask the same question. I know I've gone on vicious, emotional tyrades about religion, but now I'll take the softer and more logical route:

What does two peoples' marriage have to do with anyone but them and their families?

Eberly Book Club - Book One

Seems like we've touched on a subject recently that probably could use some more debate and discussion.
I bought a book which I started reading - The Reason for God- Belief in an Age of Skepticism (Timothy Keller). Pretty interesting read... and I'd love to devote some time to this blog to discussing chapters, ideas, thoughts that come up in the book.

anyone up for it?

Traditional, sacred marriage...

1. Why isn't adultery illegal?
2. Why isn't divorce illegal?
3. Why aren't there stricter laws to govern the marriage process? i.e.: Why aren't we keeping stupid young couples from marrying, or trashy celebrities from marrying?
4. Why do we allow abusive people to marry?
5. Why do we allow people to marry for money?

HI...just wanted to say hi to everyone...nothing important to say. Just realized I had no news to share and saw that bryan is the only one who posts things.

HI...OK now I'll say talk to you later because goodbye means forever and I'll probably talk to ya'll before forever is over. :)

Can't you tell I'm bored. Yeah well if you can't, I am. Ok now I'm done. Or am I? You all know I can ramble for hours and talk about nothing important but just to talk to hear myself talk even though this is a blog and you can't really hear anything unless you talk to yourself while typing the words as you think of them...which I may add that I am doing as I speak/type. huh, didn't realize I did that lol.

oohh, mike and I just had our 3 year anniversary last Wednesday. 3 years....loooong time. I got diamonds! :) a pair of earings from the local jewlery store. They're pretty.

what else....hmmm....yay for the project house! I'm excited! :)

ok thats it. good day. comment or just call me if you're going to comment b.c it's easier to have a conversation on the phone than to have to check this every so often. :)

Angry News #8

Well, not really angry. I'm glad Maine is being so progressive.

http://www.cnn.com/2009/POLITICS/10/25/maine.same.sex/index.html

What makes me angry is this:

"But the leading opposition group, Stand for Marriage Maine, says accepting the legislation would strip the meaning and tradition out of marriage."

What does that even mean? Is this at all a valid argument anymore? I want someone to tell me exactly how two people getting married for love takes meaning and tradition away from the process.

My orders to Seattle were canceled.

I am red. I am furious. I enjoy being a Marine. I love it. I am doing all I can to serve honorably in every capacity the Corps needs. I am a servant of the American people and don't deserve this.

I am so sick of this shit and here's the major reason why. Jordan already asked for orders to the I&I staff at Ft. Lewis, south of Tacoma. He did this because I was promised orders to Seattle and we want to be stationed near each other so we can be together. He now has to ask for new orders...and he can't tell them the reason why.

This is ridiculous!  ridiculous that he can't just say, or I can't just say, that we want to be stationed with our husband. It should be that simple:

"I am in love with Cpl. Bryan Eberly (Sgt. Jordan Robles) and wish to marry him. We would like to be stationed together so we can spend our lives together and start a family."

HOW IS THISFAIR? Does the Little Guy deserve this? Why can't I live my life like any other Marine? like any other American?

I need to calm down, but I am reaching a boiling point. I can't keep living my life this way. I can't keep traveling down roads that end in brick walls. I am totally prepared to do something drastic.

That is all. The Little Guy is pissed off beyond relief.

Angry News #5? #6? I dunno

So...the angry news for today is the fact that there is no news. The giant million-fairy march on the Mall in D.C. was almost completely ignored by the media. Wow. That was mean. Call my own people fairies? Sheesh.

Anyway, this was a rally to show the president, congress and the rest of the jerks in this country who continue to push us aside and ignore our rights that we are sick of it. SICK.

But no. No coverage. No week-long lead up. No media immersion in the crowds at the protests.

Maybe if we called it a tea party and wrote hateful signs directed toward the president, and spewed off baseless base and rediculous conservative rhetoric about taxes, we would have been heard.

Damn it. I am seriously angry. I broke the stiletto on my heel driving into the kitchen tile with my fury.

...that last bit was a joke.

Nursing program not accredited

By MICHELLE REITER

STAFF WRITER

Nursing students at Owens Community College may find themselves graduating from a school that is not nationally accredited.

Owens' associate degree registered nursing program was denied its continuing accreditation this year from the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission's board of commissioners.

How this will affect nursing students depends on the students' future plans, but it could make it harder to get out-of-state jobs or transfer to four-year colleges, said Dr. Sharon Tanner, the executive director and CEO of the accrediting agency, based in Atlanta. (NLNAC)

"There could be graduates in the meantime who would not graduate from an accredited program," Tanner said. "That is why we give two full years to (come into compliance). Because accreditation is so very important." (Owens had 2 years to fix this and didnt!!!!)

Dr. Matthew McIntosh, a dean of Owens' school of health and sciences, said the school remains accredited in Ohio and students should be able to transfer their credits to area universities. (We can take our boards, the NCLEX-RN tests, but to work out of state, we need to pay a fee and take an exam to get a provisional license to work there.)

"If you wanted to put icing on a cake, you would get this accreditation," he said Thursday. "It's not essential. It just makes it easier for the students." (Then why did you, Dr. McIntosh, wait until it was taken away to do anything about it? Why did you not work on getting the conditions figured out when the school was on 'probation' so that the program would be accredited and no one would have had to worry about it? McIntosh, Unger, Hall, Scott, Williams, all let this slip through their fingers when Dr. Unger should have taken responsibility and told the others "hey, this is the issue, Dr. A--you need to do this, Dr. B--you need to do this, etc. and get back to me asap. But apparently that is too difficult for a man who ONLY makes $200,000 year.)

He said students can still take licensing exams and graduate from a state-accredited college. (unfortunately, those students need to remain RN's who don't want to move on to get their Bachelors, and who want to live in Ohio where there are no jobs opening up. Good advice for those people, what about those who want to get their BSN and plan on moving to an area of higher demand for nurses who have to fight 2354356 other people for the same postition??)

National accreditation is not required in Ohio, as it is in some states, but graduating from an accredited school is a plus for nursing students. (yes, the school is accredited, but the program is not. Meaning, we can graduate from this school and do what we wish but when employers look at our resume, they will see that the program is not accredited by the NLNAC. They say that its a voluntary accreditaion and that we don't need it but just 2 paragraphs before, McIntosh says that its better to have it. HYPOCRITICAL S.O.B!! I'm sorry but I don't know anyone who will settle for less in this day and age. I don't know anyone who is fine with the fact that they can get their Associates in Nusing and then not get employed because they didn't get an education from an accredited program)

Tanner said not all nursing programs in Ohio are nationally accredited, but it is encouraged. Because it is not required, she said lack of accreditation is not as big an issue in Ohio. (not a big issue in Ohio. but what about those other 49 states?! what about all the schools that require transfer students to be from an accredited school with an accredited program!? BG, Lordes, UT, Mercy, Rhodes, Findlay, do not except students with out this specific accreditation. greeeeaaat!)

"Being accredited is something of great value to the students," Tanner said Thursday. "It's unusual for a program to be denied because of noncompliance."

Tanner said Owens was approved for accreditation "with conditions" two years ago.

This year, the college was required to submit a report detailing the changes they made in order to continue to receive accreditation. However, the accrediting board found the college in noncompliance with several of the agency's standards.

According to a letter written July 27 to Owens by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission Inc., all of the nursing school faculty members do not hold a degree with a major in nursing, and only six of 77 part-time faculty members hold a graduate degree with a major in nursing.

The letter also stated that the nursing program is not compliant with several of the agency's educational effectiveness standards. Specifically, the program lacked evidence of "specific and measurable expected levels of achievement," along with a lack of evidence of job placement rates, among others.

McIntosh did not want to discuss the specific standards with which the school was found in noncompliance, but said they had nothing to do with the program's curriculum content or with the performance of the faculty. (sure, the teachers are teaching us but since they don't have degrees or atleast a BSN and are being paid, any of us could walk in and teach the classes...)

He said Owens faculty is now fielding questions from students and doing everything they can to regain the national accreditation. (its a "process" that they have to go through. A long "process". Thats all he kept saying to us whether our questions had anything to do with the "process" or not. no new information was taken from the meeting. Shame on them for not being ready. We all were, why weren't they?)

Ranay Scott, the college's vice provost of academic affairs, said Owens has been calling several universities that normally take Owens' nursing students to complete their four-year degrees and, so far, all of them have agreed to continue to take Owens' students. (FALSE!! she even said today that they do and the whole conference room SCREAMED at her and called her a liar. We all made our own calls and wrote our own emails and BG, Mercy, Rhodes, Lordes, UT do not accept. They are trying to grandfather students in but we won't get the documentation of it for some time since they haven't even started talking to those schools until it was mentioned at our meeting today.)

However, she said the college does not know how long it will take to regain their national accreditation. (its a long process....grrr.)

Tanner said to regain accreditation, the college will have to "start from scratch." (They could have fixed the conditions when they were given the documents 2 years ago. They would not have to start from scratch, but only fight an appeal. Since they didn't take it seriously, its going to take them longer to regain it...)

That means, in part, applying for candidacy and making sure that the college meets national standards. Tanner said how long it will take Owens to regain its national accreditation is up to the college. (process....)

Student reaction

The pressure on the Owens' administration has been mounting, however, as word that the program is not nationally accredited has leaked to the students.

The college will hold two public meetings, one today at noon at Owens' Perrysburg campus, and one at 9 a.m. Monday at the Findlay campus in Room 111.

"Everybody has been trying to meet with advisors to see if they need to transfer to a different school," said Lubna Bazzy, an Owens student. "But they can't make appointments. They're all booked."

She said four students(I was apart of that!! he he) banded together and demanded the college provide information about what losing accreditation will mean for them.

McIntosh and other college representatives will speak at today's and Monday's forums.

Bazzy is a pre-dental hygiene student in Findlay who is not sure whether the accreditation loss will affect her. She said if Owens' nursing program did not continue, it would be a great loss for Findlay because of what all the people the nursing program bring to the area.

Scott said the college is doing everything it can to reinstate its accreditation.

"We deeply value and respect the (National League for Nursing Accrediting)," she said. "And we are aggressively trying to get (the accreditation) back."

Reiter: 419-427-8497,

Send an e-mail to Michelle Reiter

We had a student body open forum with the the chairs and vice chairs of the program and department along with the big guy in charge and none of our questions were answered. There were sooo many people asking what it means that this accreditation is gone and why everyone keeps calling it voluntary and the staff could not even answer them. I understand if they could not answer the financial questions about refunds and what not because they don't have that control but seriously. If the Toledo's meeting went so bad, then why didn't they take the weekend to prepare for Findlay's meeting? Why wouldn't they bring the schools attorney with them or the schools financial officer or president of the student account to answer the questions concerning refunds or tuition, etc?
Did they not think that they were going to be verbally attacked at Findlay? There is a guy that was speaking who does have anger management issues and blood pressure issues and while he was asking questions and he would have to stop and take a few breaths or else he would have gone crazy.
Supposedly, 500 letters went out to all nursing major students and with the 150 people at the forum, not one person received it.
I'm just rambling now because I'm so irate about the issue so comment if you would like. Just keep your ears and eyes open to the news or newspaper web sites. We're planning on another meeting but we're going to have some documentation first. We asked for all public records from the NLNAC and the school. Just from the NLNAC we have them caught in 3 big lies that they kept giving at the meeting. The article I pasted on here is full of lies. Why can't people be straight forward anymore? Why does everyone have to beat around the bush? Is it too offensive to tell someone how it is? Is it that wrong to correct the path of a ship to avoid an iceburg?! I want real answers or insight or advice.

The week after Eric was born

http://www.mrpopculture.com/files/html/oct08-1984/

enjoy this info...i do remember a BIG baseball semi final playoff game on TV the night mom went into labor with you. Dad was like, "now? we need to leave now?". The team he was going for didn't make the world series playoffs i think. they started losing after they left for the hospital.

thank you for being born and being an awesome brother. You're an amazing man - and have so much potential. can't wait to see what adventures you have waiting for you.

have a happy birthday! I love you so much buddy!

Mercy College

So in addition to talking to my advisior tomorrow, I am 80% possitive that I will complete and send in my transfer transcript and my application to Mercy College. Owens lost their NLNAC accredidation and therefore I cannot take my boards from Owens so there will be no point in continuing clinicals at Owens since those clinical hours don't transfer.
I just wanted to post this and get some feed back from you all. I will finish this semester up and spring at Owens and then hopefully save enough money to actually be able to attend Mercy since it is 3x more expense than Owens for one semester...yikes.
I am choosing Mercy because they do have a really strong program and I think I will benefit from it. I just have to stay ontop of my studies which won't be too hard. BGSU has a program but I have heard nothing but bad about it and all the classes and clinic lab hours are completed at MCO, so since I will be in Toledo anyways, Mercy seems better. Plus its connected to the hospital so I am pretty sure the clinicals are done right there in that hospital instead of having to be sent to a random one in the area (like owens has set up...)
I'll post more about what I find out from my advisior and his boss when I get a chance. I felt like this was a big deal and thought I would inform you all about it..

Angry...commercial #1

Wow...I just saw the...ok, not going to judge. I just saw a commercial which made me whince.

"Washington, if you tax juice and soda, you're making it harder for me to feed my family."

YOU AND YOU'RE FAMILY ARE NOT DEPENDENT UPON SODA OR JUICE!

1. Soda is bad for you. If you don't want to pay the tax, don't buy it.
2. Packaged juice is bad for you. Buy fruit and make your own.

I'm sorry your fat kids and yourself need excess sugar to live. It sucks that the government is trying to snipe you.

AUGH!

Gut Worms May Protect Against Allergies

Here you go nate, try the hookworm instead of Claritin!

"

British and Vietnamese scientists say they’ve discovered parasitic gut worms, such as hookworms, might help prevent and treat asthma and other allergies.

Researchers led by Dr. Carsten Flohr of the University of Nottingham, and Dr. Luc Nguyen Tuyen of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Health Service in central Vietnam said their study is the largest double-blind, placebo controlled clinical trial to date looking at potential links between hookworm and other gut worm infections and allergic conditions such as asthma and eczema.

The research was conducted in a rural area of central Vietnam where two of every three children have hookworm and other gut parasite infections and where allergies are extremely rare. More than 1,500 schoolchildren ages 6-17 took part in the clinical trial.

The team investigated whether repeated tablet treatments to clear the body of gut worms made it more likely for children to develop allergic conditions. While the treatment did not demonstrate an effect on asthma or eczema, the treated children had a significantly increased risk of having a positive allergy skin test to house-dust mites and cockroaches.

That, the scientists said, suggests gut worms have the potential to tone down human immune responses.

“The next step is to understand exactly how and when gut parasites program the human immune system in a way that protects against allergic sensitization, and for such studies, follow-up from birth will be essential,” Flohr said."

Andiism alert!

So...we're trying to figure out which show was once on that entailed Jerry O'Connell ...sliding from world to world. In the madness of discussion, I yelled "I KNOW it starts with an 'F'"

The show was Sliders. Andi, you're not alone. TomTom does begin with a "g".

In a world free of common sense...

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,557503,00.html

Why, Arizona, why? Seriously? This is awful for me to say, but I will laugh at the first report of a man/woman getting shot by some drunk with his/her own weapon. Inshallah, it won't happen.

...I shouldn't ever have to put "inshallah" in the same sentence as weapons and alcohol...

...I agree...more school!

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/09/28/obamas-extended-school-year-dire-economic-effects-critics-claim/?test=latestnews

To quote Chief Wiggum in a recent episode of the Simpsons:

"I'm hearing a lot of problems and no solutions!" (He had belted himself to a lightpole.

All the things mentioned can be dealt with. I'm no expert of fixing things, but all the complaints in this story come across to me as laziness. Unwillingness to adapt.

I also want to say that this will keep kids off the streets longer, and keep them from idle activities. As a man who was once a pot-smoking teenager: Summertime was the perfect time to stay up late doing illegal activity, sleeping in and letting my brain turn to mush and then spending whatever days I wasn't working my ass off at Dominos staring at the television or doing other illegal activities. Looking back on it, I wish school had lasted longer. It would have given my teachers more time to get to know me and mentor me. It would have also allowed more stuff to be learned. Why is it that every year we were never able to get through an entire text book?

There's my opinion. More time in the classroom. More time to read the entire text book above the influence of bad things.

Augh

I'm not as strong as I pretend to be, evidently. Some jerk on youtube doesn't believe I'm a Marine and it's driving me insane. Why do I care about this ONE lowlife? I've given this guy everything save my social security number and he still won't believe me!

I need a psychology major to tell me how integrity works in a person so well that it can drive him or her completely bonkers when questioned.

A very well-balanced story, I should say

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,555801,00.html?test=latestnews

The comment on the end is...really, really just plain silly. It didn't even make me angry. It's that silly. I wish I could pat Mr. Consgrove on the head and say "No, dear. But that was a cute attempt."

I'm so happy for the Ummah right now though. This was definitely the right thing to do, mashallah. Allahu akbar.

Fuming

So, all day today I was watching the news and I kept seeing Christians blasting the national day of prayer being held at the D.C. Mall. So, now I have a question about religious tolerance.

Why is it that so many Christians are so quick to scream at the top of their lungs about other religious practices, when those other religions often don't say a word against Christianity?

It reminds me of the time in Congress when a Hindu Chaplain was leading the opening prayers and a whole swatch of delegation began praying over him and screaming condemnation towards the Chaplain.

This is really just me fuming, so don't think I'm going all gung-ho anti-christian. I'm not. Jesus said and did some amazing things and having spent a good chunk of my life worshipping him, I respect the man a lot. I'm just angry at the level of intolerance that is such a strong part of the religion. Why is it that in islam, we are told repeatedly that there is no compulsion in religion and that many paths exist that lead to God, yet many Christians are constantly evangelizing and their children are taught that worshipping Jesus is the only way?

Singing about Obama is bad...why?

So...just wondering...are the parents who are outraged about kids singing about the President the same parents who demand their kids pray in school?

Just wondering why one brainwashing is worse than another; if, indeed, the kids are being brainwashed to praise Obama. I don't think they are, but that's not really the discussion I'm after here.

Why is it ok to teach kids to sing about Jesus and not ok for them to sing a nice song about the President?

HAHAHAH!

I vote that we make a blog of alll the ANDI-ISM and whomever else "isms". Someone will start it, if not this blog, and everyone leave a comment of however many "isms" you have. Nate should probably win on this since he never forgets anything. Too bad there isn't an award for the most... maybe I'll go to the dollar tree...
This way, if any of us are in bad moods or are sad or discouraged, we can clear our heads for a few minutes and laugh the mood away. "They" always say laughing is good for the soul and apparently you burn calories so lets kill two birds with one stone.
Have fun and they are "isms" so do not take as insult, or "mean hearted". Theses are purely for the memories that were made when these "isms" where...created...lol!

India’s lunar mission finds evidence of water on the Moon

Dreams of establishing a manned Moon base could become reality within two decades after India’s first lunar mission found evidence of large quantities of water on its surface.

Data from Chandrayaan-1 also suggests that water is still being formed on the Moon. Scientists said the breakthrough — to be announced by Nasa at a press conference today — would change the face of lunar exploration.

So what was the point of me even joining this when all of my comments are being deleted?
I am not a perfectly positive 24 hours a day 7 days a week kind of person nor do I have the time to change my personality to such an extent. I am real. I have a back bone. I will say something if it bothers me, and I will confront whomever is bothering me. Yes, we are siblings and siblings should understand critism from each other pretty well to know that if they see a change or problem, then its obviously something important and should be taken into consideration.

I have said all the apologies that I have needed to. I am be-friending everyone around me since the blow up. Unfortuneately, others have not made contact with me and I cannot control that. Time will only tell what the fate of those relationships will be but until then, I'm back to normal. Everyone else is back to normal. This isn't even a situation anymore but everyone keeps bringing it up. What was that phrase that Andi used to tell us to understand and use after Mom and Dads divorce? Everytime we would fight with one of them or another sibling, Andi used to tell us "Forgive and Forget". Strong words because to this day, I can literally hear Andi's voice whenever I say that to myself. I forgave whom I needed to, and I forgot about the situation. Life is still going to go on whether you are staying in the past or if you move on with it. You are only granted so many days when you are born. Why waste those days fighting and re-initiating past arguments? Why not be productive and move on and let life happen? What happens happens, life goes on.

I have read the post that Andi put up about family and what not and yes she said everything perfectly. And we all do love each other very much but that doesn't mean that we won't get on each others nerves once in a while. Especially when 3 of the siblings have the same personality and some argument strategies (andi, nate and I...). Thats why we have 2 other siblings who are all about positive nature, being calm and looking at the big picture to help us cool down & relax (eric and Bryan).

On other note: So what if we can't make it to bryans for Thanksgiving this year. Lets get this year figured out now and then plan for next year in a month or at Thanksgiving. The holiday is creeping up now but it'll be here before you know it.

I would really appreciate if no one deleted my post or comments from here on out. If you all get to have a voice and talk, why can't I? I don't delete something of yours because its negative or mean. (only because I don't have the administrative access to..) but either way, I wouldn't do that to you. I would comment on it and say something about it, but I would never delete your thoughts or words. Golden Rule: Do unto others as you would want others to do unto you.

Ok I'm done. I think I have said all I needed to but if I remember something, I"ll add it. Comment if you'd like. Don't if you wish not to. Either way is fine.

Lost, Lost, Lost...

Where there are apologies to be made, make them and mean them. Do not apologize via text, do it with a personal touch--letter or face to face conversation is best. Know what you're apologizing for, and apologize without blaming others or shifting blame away from yourself. No one wants to hear, "I'm sorry, but, ....."

Learn from the mistakes and move forward, reflecting on what went wrong and learn from the mistakes.

Show sincere appreciation for what you have been given in your life instead of focusing on what you don't have...

I don't know what else to say or do at this point. But that wedge i mentioned in an earlier posting is still there. One of us is hurting very badly right now and feels abandoned.

Woah

Ok...

Nobody has to come here for Thanksgiving. I, as a working adult who does pay for everything he needs in life...nevermind government aide, it's still my pocket...I am not expecting anybody to drop everything and visit me. I understand time constraints, I understand priorities. (Actually, I don'tnunderstand priorities. To me, prioritizing is a waste of time and life. But that's just me.)

If you can make it, please come. That goes for all of you. If you can't, so be it. No big deal, don't feel at all bad. If you feel bad I will visit you and slap you silly for feeling bad on my account. I am a happy pixie fairie, and I only want happiness. BE HAPPY DAMN IT! There. All better.

Reminded me of Simpsons, so excuse me...

Marge: "Well, at least you can take refuge in the fact that you're making so many people happy."
Homer: "Oh, I'm making people happy. I'm the magical man, from Candyland, and I live in a gumdrop house on lollipop lane!"
Oh, and by the way, I was being sarcastic."
Marge: "Well duh."

There, I quoted Simpsons. Be happy. What on Earth was I going on about?

Oh yes, J-cat needs to join the Navy...wait, no.

Seriously, though. Not one person needs to show up at my apartment in November. If it's just me and Jordan eating Turkey-flavored ramen in front of my computer watching Rifftrax, then so be it. I can be happy in the situation. I can be happy in most any situation really.

I'm the magical man, from Candyland. (it's a rainbow. Be happy, damn it.)

Yeah

thats it really. just tired of the same old run around. try to be positive, but guess when met with so much negativity, it doesn't mean much to some people.

Yay for Jessie joining the blog!!!!

But who changed the background settings? Need some color changes, as we need borders and the other boxes to stand out.

but yay for Jessie joining!

Good thing I didn't post the pic I had put together as a joke...

I figured it out!

OK, so maybe eric did. Either way, I'm on here! :)
And everyone needs to go to Thanksgiving in KC. It'll be fun and I think it would start a new tradition to go to each siblings house for thanksgiving. Every year on that day, we'll decide the next destination and everyone can start saving for that trip.
I know friends that do this and it seems fun. Who knows, maybe by next year Eric or I will have our own place! (don't count on me to have one..it was just an idea thrown out there..)

But thats about it. I just wanted to figure this out and now I have so adios amigos! :)

The Little Guy's Thanksgiving

Everybody,

I want to have a Thanksgiving dinner at my apartment. Anybody in the family may come. Here's the catch:

1. I only have room for 4 people to sleep. I can't afford to get hotel rooms.
2. I need to know what people want me to cook.

I know that at least Jessie and I think Jenny are on board. I'm doing this because I won't be able to get away and would like at least 1 member of the family with me. Greedy? Absolutely.

Let me know if you want to come down!

Okay. Is this it?

I have been responding to blogs but have not actually taken the time to figure out how to make one. Therefore, this is an experiment. I just hope I can remember the steps I took to get here.

Life, Family, and other Committments

I don't want to focus on what has happened over the past couple of weeks to inspire so much tension and stress among the siblings. A wedge has been placed in what I had thought was a strong family bond. What I would like to see is us overcoming this low point and moving foward.

Our family has faced many struggles over the years- from our parents' personal challenges, to their divorce and all the events in between and leading up to where we are now. We're not the perfect nuclear family unit, but i've always been proud of the family we became through each step of the way. Each of us has a special connection to each other - different connections with each sibling, but lots of love none the less. Some of us communicate with one more than other, but we're all here for one another when ever we're needed. We respect each other's differences and embrace each others strengths and support each other in moments of weakness.

We cannot control each other or make choices for another person --only ourselves. I'll admit, this is hard for me as I've always wanted to protect each of you from hurt, pain and suffering. I look back at my own stupid decisions and see someone going down the same path. Unfortunately, all I can allow myself to do is counsel and then be prepared for a HUGE high five or a shoulder and assistance to help you get back up again. It has taken me a lot of time to figure out my place in each of your lives.

Each of us are full adults now, with jobs (or two), school, kids, bills. Each of us have personal relationships with others outside our little family that need to be cared for and supported. We should embrace the time we get to share with each other and understand when we can't get together. There is a life balance that must be managed and appreciated. As long as we continue to communicate -phone, facebook, family blog - we'll be ok! We understand if it takes a month before the next phone call....life happens.

I love each of you so much. Having the experience with each of you has helped me become the mom I am today to my kids. Thank you for being born, for being my brothers and sister and thank you to God for creating our family.

No end to my anger here (Angry News #3)

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,549421,00.html

There is no end to my anger here.

1. Treat every weapon as if it is loaded
2. Never point the weapon at anything you do not intend to shoot
3. Keep finger off trigger until you intend to fire
4. Keep weapon ion safe until you are ready to fire.

Four simple safety rules that apply to every weapon in all circumstances. Every time there is a rifle, pistol, grenade launcher, etc. in your hands, you keep these rules at the front of your thought processes. What these Marines are doing is inexcusable...inexcusable! I'm so angry that I'm calling every Marine in my phone book and having them recite the safety rules to me!

The Cpl. now Pvt. deserves more than a BCD. He deserves a dishonorable. He deserves life imprisonment. And every Marine in that command needs to be relieved of duty and sent back to basic training.

WTF? Augh!

A "child's" point of view

Is it better to live in a fairy tale and have the optimism that change will make this country a better place in time, or continue to pretend we're in a constant nightmare; complaining and crying over every little bit of movement?

Mom made a good point yesterday about earmarks. She said that the legislation for healthcare is moving too fast for anybody to counter any possible pork in the bill. I say, why worry about it? Can we not just trust the people we elected to not screw us over?

I say, smile and have faith, always prepared for the worst, and remember that we still live with one of the highest qualities of life in the world and things in this country have a LONG way to go before we start actually feeling pain.

Banana Bunker: Prevent Bruised Bananas

I recieved this e-mail from one of my Food Magazine subscriptions,

funny stuff for twisted minds.

you can purchase it at Banana Bunker for your kids lunch box

The Middle Wife' by an Anonymous 2nd grade teacher

I've been teaching now for about fifteen years. I have two kids myself, but the best birth story I know is the one I saw in my own second grade classroom a few years back. When I was a kid, I loved show-and-tell. So I always have a few sessions with my students... It helps them get over shyness and usually, show-and-tell is pretty tame. Kids bring in pet turtles, model airplanes, pictures of fish they catch, stuff like that. And I never, ever place any boundaries or limitations on them. If they want to lug it in to school and talk about it, they're welcome. Well, one day this little girl, Erica, a very bright, very outgoing kid, takes her turn and waddles up to the front of the class with a pillow stuffed under her sweater. She holds up a snapshot of an infant. 'This is Luke, my baby brother, and I'm going to tell you about his birthday.' 'First, Mom and Dad made him as a symbol of their love, and then Dad put a seed in my Mom's stomach, and Luke grew in there. He ate for nine months through an umbrella cord.' She's standing there with her hands on the pillow, and I'm trying not to laugh and wishing I had my camcorder with me. The kids are watching her in amazement. 'Then, about two Saturdays ago, my Mom starts saying and going, 'Oh, Oh, Oh, Oh!' Erica puts a hand behind her back and groans... 'She walked around the house for, like an hour, 'Oh, oh, oh!' (Now this kid is doing a hysterical duck walk and groaning.) 'My Dad called the middle wife. She delivers babies, but she doesn't have a sign on the car like the Domino's man. They got my Mom to lie down in bed like this.' (Then Erica lies down with her back against the wall.) 'And then, pop! My Mom had this bag of water she kept in there in case he got thirsty, and it just blew up and spilled all over the bed, like psshhheew!' (This kid has her legs spread with her little hands miming water flowing away. It was too much!)'Then the middle wife starts saying 'push, push,' and 'breathe, breathe. They started counting, but never even got past ten. Then, all of a sudden, out comes my brother. He was covered in
yucky stuff that they all said it was from Mom's play-center, (placenta) so there must be a lot of toys inside there. When he got out, the middle wife spanked him for crawling up in there.'Then Erica stood up, took a big theatrical bow and returned to her seat. I'm sure I applauded the loudest. Ever since then, when it's show-and-tell day, I bring my camcorder, just in case another 'Middle Wife' comes along. Now you have two choices...laugh and close this page or pass this along to someone else to spread the laughs.. I know what I did!!! Live every day as if it is your LAST chance to make someone happy!

I'm being outwitted by a hamster

no kidding... stupid dwarf hamster. I bought a bigger rubbermaid tub and he STILL got out of it.

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,545823,00.html

Oh...that man would be dead by now. I would have beaten him as soon as he said those words and even looked at my child.

Seriously...the audacity...argh.

G'night!

Ben & Jerries is just awesome

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,545841,00.html

Everyone go out and buy as much of your favorite flavor as fiscally possible. Disney, Apple and now Ben & Jerries. I'm so happy at consumerism right now.

trash talking or motivation?

so, i posted on facebook that Carleigh is now an official soccer player. She starts practice in two weeks... and in announcing this, i stated - Show the boys how the game is really played.

nate says i'm trash talking - i say i'm motivating.

comments? :)

Random Thoughts

-I wish Google Maps had an "Avoid Ghetto" routing option.

-More often than not, when someone is telling me a story all I can think about is that I can't
wait for them to finish so that I can tell my own story that's not only better, but also more
directly involves me.

-Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.

-I don't understand the purpose of the line, "I don't need to drink to have fun." Great, no one
does. But why start a fire with flint and sticks when they've invented the lighter?

-Have you ever been walking down the street and realized that you're going in the complete
opposite direction of where you are supposed to be going? But instead of just turning a 180 and
walking back in the direction from which you came, you have to first do something like check
your watch or phone or make a grand arm gesture and mutter to yourself to ensure that no one in
the surrounding area thinks you're crazy by randomly switching directions on the sidewalk.

-That's enough, Nickelback.

-I totally take back all those times I didn't want to nap when I was younger.

-Is it just me, or are 80% of the people in the "people you may know" feature on Facebook
people that I do know, but I deliberately choose not to be friends with?

-Do you remember when you were a kid, playing Nintendo and it wouldn't work? You take the
cartridge out, blow in it and that would magically fix the problem. Every kid in America did
that, but how did we all know how to fix the problem? There was no internet or message boards
or FAQ's. We just figured it out. Today's kids are soft.

-There is a great need for sarcasm font.

-Sometimes, I'll watch a movie that I watched when I was younger and suddenly realize I had no
idea what the f was going on when I first saw it.

-I think everyone has a movie that they love so much, it actually becomes stressful to watch it
with other people. I'll end up wasting 90 minutes shiftily glancing around to confirm that
everyone's laughing at the right parts, then making sure I laugh just a little bit harder (and
a millisecond earlier) to prove that I'm still the only one who really, really gets it.

-How the hell are you supposed to fold a fitted sheet?

-I would rather try to carry 10 plastic grocery bags in each hand than take 2 trips to bring my
groceries in.

- I think part of a best friend's job should be to immediately clear your computer history if
you die.

-The only time I look forward to a red light is when I’m trying to finish a text.

- A recent study has shown that playing beer pong contributes to the spread of mono and the
flu. Yeah, if you suck at it.

- Was learning cursive really necessary?

- Lol has gone from meaning, "laugh out loud" to "I have nothing else to say".

- I have a hard time deciphering the fine line between boredom and hunger.

- Answering the same letter three times or more in a row on a Scantron test is absolutely
petrifying.

- My brother's Municipal League baseball team is named the Stepdads. Seeing as none of the guys
on the team are actual stepdads, I inquired about the name. He explained, "Cuz we beat you, and
you hate us." Classy, bro.

- Whenever someone says "I'm not book smart, but I'm street smart", all I hear is "I'm not real
smart, but I'm imaginary smart".

- How many times is it appropriate to say "What?" before you just nod and smile because you
still didn't hear what they said?

- I love the sense of camaraderie when an entire line of cars teams up to prevent a dick from
cutting in at the front. Stay strong, brothers!

- Every time I have to spell a word over the phone using 'as in' examples, I will undoubtedly
draw a blank and sound like a complete idiot. Today I had to spell my boss's last name to an
attorney and said "Yes that's G as in...(10 second lapse)..ummm...Goonies"

-What would happen if I hired two private investigators to follow each other?

- While driving yesterday I saw a banana peel in the road and instinctively swerved to avoid
it...thanks Mario Kart.

- MapQuest really needs to start their directions on #5. Pretty sure I know how to get out of
my neighborhood.

- Obituaries would be a lot more interesting if they told you how the person died.

- I find it hard to believe there are actually people who get in the shower first and THEN turn
on the water.

-Shirts get dirty. Underwear gets dirty. Pants? Pants never get dirty, and you can wear them
forever.

- I would like to officially coin the phrase 'catching the swine flu' to be used as a way to
make fun of a friend for hooking up with an overweight woman. Example: "Dave caught the swine
flu last night."

-I can't remember the last time I wasn't at least kind of tired.

- Bad decisions make good stories

-Whenever I'm Facebook stalking someone and I find out that their profile is public I feel like
a kid on Christmas morning who just got the Red Ryder BB gun that I always wanted. 546
pictures? Don't mind if I do!

- Is it just me or do high school girls get sluttier & sluttier every year?

-If Carmen San Diego and Waldo ever got together, their offspring would probably just be
completely invisible.

-Why is it that during an ice-breaker, when the whole room has to go around and say their name
and where they are from, I get so incredibly nervous? Like I know my name, I know where I'm
from, this shouldn't be a problem....

-You never know when it will strike, but there comes a moment at work when you've made up your
mind that you just aren't doing anything productive for the rest of the day.

-Can we all just agree to ignore whatever comes after DVDs? I don't want to have to restart my
collection.

-There's no worse feeling than that millisecond you're sure you are going to die after leaning
your chair back a little too far.

-I'm always slightly terrified when I exit out of Word and it asks me if I want to save any
changes to my ten page research paper that I swear I did not make any changes to.

- "Do not machine wash or tumble dry" means I will never wash this ever.

-I hate being the one with the remote in a room full of people watching TV. There's so much
pressure. 'I love this show, but will they judge me if I keep it on? I bet everyone is wishing
we weren't watching this. It's only a matter of time before they all get up and leave the room.
Will we still be friends after this?'

-I hate when I just miss a call by the last ring (Hello? Hello? Dammit!), but when I
immediately call back, it rings nine times and goes to voicemail. What'd you do after I didn't
answer? Drop the phone and run away?

- I hate leaving my house confident and looking good and then not seeing anyone of importance
the entire day. What a waste.

-When I meet a new girl, I'm terrified of mentioning something she hasn't already told me but
that I have learned from some light internet stalking.

-I like all of the music in my iTunes, except when it's on shuffle, then I like about one in
every fifteen songs in my iTunes.

-Why is a school zone 20 mph? That seems like the optimal cruising speed for pedophiles...

- As a driver I hate pedestrians, and as a pedestrian I hate drivers, but no matter what the
mode of transportation, I always hate cyclists.

-Sometimes I'll look down at my watch 3 consecutive times and still not know what time it is.

-It should probably be called Unplanned Parenthood.

-I keep some people's phone numbers in my phone just so I know not to answer when they call.

-Even if I knew your social security number, I wouldn't know what do to with it.

-Even under ideal conditions people have trouble locating their car keys in a pocket, hitting
the G-spot, and Pinning the Tail on the Donkey - but I’d bet my ass everyone can find and push
the Snooze button from 3 feet away, in about 1.7 seconds, eyes closed, first time every time...

-My 4-year old son asked me in the car the other day "Dad what would happen if you ran over a
ninja?" How the hell do I respond to that?

-It really pisses me off when I want to read a story on CNN.com and the link takes me to a
video instead of text.

-I wonder if cops ever get pissed off at the fact that everyone they drive behind obeys the
speed limit.

-I think the freezer deserves a light as well.

-I disagree with Kay Jewelers. I would bet on any given Friday or Saturday night more kisses
begin with Miller Lites than Kay.

-The other night I ordered takeout, and when I looked in the bag, saw they had included four
sets of plastic silverware. In other words, someone at the restaurant packed my order, took a
second to think about it, and then estimated that there must be at least four people eating to
require such a large amount of food. Too bad I was eating by myself. There's nothing like being
made to feel like a fat bastard before dinner.

Letter from the Boss

As the CEO of this organization, I have resigned myself to the fact that Barack Obama is our President and that our taxes and government fees will increase in a BIG way. To compensate for these increases, our prices would have to increase by about 10%.

But since we cannot increase our prices right now due to the dismal state of the economy, we will have to lay off sixty of our employees instead.

This has really been bothering me, since I believe we are family here and I didn't know how to choose who would have to go.

So, this is what I did.

I walked through our parking lots and found sixty 'Obama' bumper stickers on our employees' cars and have decided these folks will be the ones to let go. I can't think of a more fair way to approach this problem. They voted for change, I gave it to them.

I will see the rest of you at the annual company picnic.

Limited Edition Ben and Jerry Ice Cream

Suzanna and I just tried both th Keylime Pie and Raspberry Peach Cobbler flavors!

Keylime pies wins!

Creamy lime ice cream with fluffy meringue (marshmallowy) and pie crust pieces with lime swirl.

Delicious.

:)

Free Speech

Hmm...tough call really. How do you protect against slander/libel and
still protect free speech on the internet? Should defamation of
character be protected? So everybody have the right to insult people
willy-nilly? Way too fine a line that can be crossed here. Then again,
maybe the model shouldn't be so butt-hurt about some jerk online.

Really, it just means we need to teach our children harder that
insulting someone isn't the best thing to do, and thick skin is an
absolute virtue.

Only in Southern Maryland

Md. judge admits deflating tire over parking spot
LA PLATA, Md. (AP) _ A circuit court judge has acknowledged he deflated a tire on a car parked in a restricted area near his courthouse earlier this week. But he isn't apologizing. Charles County Judge Robert C. Nalley told station WUSA on Wednesday that he let out the air because leaving notes for those parked illegally isn't effective.

I had jury duty in this guy's court. He thought he was making his point to the driver--thought that towing or ticketing would have been a costly way to go for the idiot cleaning lady who kept parking in the restricted area. next time, he'll call the tow company. :)
