Just wondering why one brainwashing is worse than another; if, indeed, the kids are being brainwashed to praise Obama. I don't think they are, but that's not really the discussion I'm after here.
Why is it ok to teach kids to sing about Jesus and not ok for them to sing a nice song about the President?

ok, think you are mixing the issues here...
allowing for prayer in school is the issue...its not the issue (well not the majority) that people want teachers leading prayer, but allowing students to pray with in the walls of the school...or to allow prayer groups...
having the school lead people in song about our president is likened to Hitler Youth...plan and simple...Obama has not done anything of value at this time, as many of his agenda items have not passed, and all he is known for is being the first black president...
Did we sing songs for the first black senator, or first black supreme court justice, or for the first minority of any kind in high office?
Look, there is a lot of unwarranted praise for a guy that just what eight years ago was a state senator in Illinois, a position he had not held for a long length of time even at that point...
He played the game and won...he is a politician, not a god, and more importantly, we should never have such things as teachers leading students in song about a standing president, ever...
"plan and simple" sould read "plain and simple"
if it's a christian school, all praise should be for God.
"thou shalt have no other gods before Me"
national anthem, America the Beautiful, My Country Tis of Thee... those i'm also ok with because they're songs about our nation as a whole. Not just one particular person.
nate's right about songs being about the country and our ideals.
Our forefathers never wanted the King mentality.
